About SHORETILE

A tile crew that sweats the substrate.

SHORETILE was founded in Calgary, Alberta in 2013 by master setter George Ciudin after fifteen years working for commercial contractors across Alberta, British Columbia, Quebec and Ontario.

Most failed tile jobs fail underneath: a soft subfloor, a skipped membrane, the wrong mortar for the tile. We spend more time on prep than most installers, so the finish stays flat, dry and crack-free for decades.

Today we operate out of Vancouver, BC, handling everything from a single backsplash to office lobbies and airport terminals, with the same foreman on your job from demo to final seal.

From measure to final seal

One foreman, one schedule, and a written scope before any work starts.

Site visit

We measure, check the subfloor for deflection and moisture, and talk through tile, layout and budget.

2Within 48 hrs

Written estimate

An itemized quote covering demo, prep, materials and labor, with a firm start date.

3Prep phase

Prep & waterproof

Demo, leveling, backer board and membranes. Showers are flood-tested before tiling.

4Finish phase

Set, grout & seal

Tile is set and grouted, stone is sealed, and we walk the job with you before we call it done.
